Paris and Barcelona

Hello,

traveling to europe in february. Going to Paris and then leaving from Barcelona. Have 9 nights total. Am thinking 3 nights in Paris and 3 nights in Barcelona. I would love to add another location to the trip. I am thinking San Sebastian/wine region or Seville. Seville seems out of the way. I am also trying desperately to limit transportation costs and to limit to Air and Train only. I have considered 4/4 for both locs and then adding costa dorada as an overnight. I would love to have some kind of a break between Paris and Barcelona-where we can relax and not feel the need to go to museums. I would love to either hike, do something active, and enjoy food/etc. I know we can do both those things in Paris and Barca but I am also trying to make the most of my trip. Please let me know if you have suggestions.

Can't be much help other then to add.. if you wish to enjoy hiking etc.. then think southern .. Paris may have lovely spring weather in feb.. but it can also be cool and rainy still.. it won't be summer in Spain yet either, but perhaps a bit milder for outdoor activities. We visited a lovely small village outside Barcelona.. spent 4 days there , it was 1.5 hours by bus to get there ( and cheap) but basically the small family run hotel we stayed in said they don't even open till March.. ( ps. google Tossa De Mar for photos.. this place was a delight!)

Stick to your original plan of only paris and barcelona. Keep in mind the days in feb are shorter on daylight so reduce opportunity to explore. Trying to add another destination will achieve wasting a day to get there and back. If you want an outdoor experience then try Montserrat outside of barcelona.
