Has anyone done a tour from Seville to Parc National Donana recently? I've read that the marshes are dry, so few birds. All the tours I've found online seem about the same, though with mixed reviews. Any recommendations?
TripAdvisor has reviews of a few tours of the park and El Rocio from Sevila. Check it for the tour company names and information..
I did that already. As I said, I am looking for current information about the marshes. The tour companies, (understandably - they want business) , though annoyingly, are not going to tell if it is all dry and no birds. Googling Spain weather shows lots of unseasonable hot and dry conditions.
I was just in Seville last week. I wanted to go to the parks on a private tour, and was told that the parks are too dry and very little birds. The 500,000 birds that migrate there are down to 40,000 because of water supply issues. They hope it's a temporary issue. Mind you - I heard this from a guide (who is a biologist). I took a completely different tour instead.
Thank you - that is the answer I was looking for (though hoped I didn't get.)
