Parc Guell Before and after hours visit

We want to go to Parc Guell and read that if you go early before it opens you can see it for free and without crowds, is there anything we wouldn’t be able to see if we go before the park opens? Is an hour enough time to see everything? Also is the park worth going back to at night? Is there other lookout areas of the city that we should check out?

Thanks!

We enjoyed Parc Guell and other Gaudi attractions. There are many wonderful lookout areas in Barcelona. In addition to Parc Guell we loved going to the 9th floor of El Cortes Inglés 9th floor (La Rotonda Cafe’) for an amazing view. We enjoyed a meal & the view. I also loved the Joan Miro Museum & the spectacular view. More ideas- https://www.timeout.com/barcelona/things-to-do/the-best-views-in-barcelona

We also had a spectacular view from the rooftop terrace of our hotel! (Hotel Jazz)

I don't know anything about avoiding the entry fee by going super early, but an hour will not be long enough to see everything in the park. It's quite large. The fee area is only part of the park.

It used to be true that visitors could have free access early in the morning but the city has now changed this timeframe to be accessible to residents only, now. See here.

We just visited it a couple days ago in the afternoon after Casa Batllo and La Pedrera. If I could do it over again I would only go at the first morning timeslot only. It was a madhouse full of people and that’s just not how I like to enjoy my outdoor/garden spaces. I just prioritized my early morning timeslot for Casa Batllo and I am happy with that decision; it was lovely and having early access to the house with few people was great. The parc was just a mess in comparison.

We went to the MNAC and it has nice views over the city as well.
