We will be staying at Parador de Toledo, but would like to avoid driving into the city center. Is there public transit between the two or is a taxi/Uber the best option?
Due to its location outside of the historic center and off of any main road, my best guess is there are no municipal buses that go to it. A taxi/Uber is probably the best option. However, since you will have a car, there is a free public parking lot (Aparcamiento Gratuito Toledo) on P.º de la Basílica 2.5 miles from the Parador. You can see it on Google maps. It is outside of the historic center and easy to reach from the Parador. There are a couple other free lots nearby. From the parking lot, cross the street and enter the historic center through the Puerta de Cambrón and walk up the hill. If you didn’t walk to walk up the hill, from the parking lot, turn left and walk two minutes towards Puerta de Bisagra and take the escalator.
Thank you! This is such helpful advice! I will save the parking lot you mentioned on Google Maps and save some €€ on cab fares:)
