Pamplona Good Friday Procession - Santa Semana

Has anyone gone to the Good Friday Procession in Pamplona? I will be in Pamplona for Good Friday before starting on my Camino walk the next day.
Looking for advice or suggestions about where to stand for the best views, what time would this start and end? Have never seen anything like this before, so hoping to get some good photos or videos.
Thanks!

I found this, so hopefully it helps. “Good Friday – Good Friday is the most symbolic day of Semana Santa in Pamplona. On this day, the Procession of the Holy Burial takes place. People carry the statue of Our Lady of Solitude, also known as “La Dolorosa”, from the Cathedral to the Church of San Agustín.” Unfortunately, no specific route was given, but there are only a couple options.

I also found a site under construction that will ultimately have the entire schedule for Semana Santa in Pamplona. You may want to keep checking back.

Ms. Jo, I was in Spain in 2006 during Holy Week and saw about 4-5 processions starting with Palm Sunday in Cáceres and ending up on Good Friday in Valladolid. It is an experience definitely not to be missed! On Good Friday, there are usually several processions at various times of the day. I think there is one at 3 pm, which marks the time of Jesus's death and an evening procession, plus (I think) a morning procession (or maybe noon?). Most, if not all of them start from the cathedral or church and then will go all over town. We came into each town without any prior knowledge of the route and yet managed to find where they were without any problems.

We also had no problems seeing the statutes and other parts of the procession so I wouldn't worry too much about where to stand, although it is good to get there a bit early. I got tons of photos and did not make any special attempt to look for good spots.

Btw, I did find this site that actually has a route there. I think it's from a previous year, but I do not believe that the routes change, so this should get you started. http://www.semanasantapamplona.org/index.php/eventos1/procesiones/viernes-santo

Thanks. I will be there on Thurs evening, after traveling by train from Barcelona, and then all day on Friday. Am sure my Albergue will have tips for me about times and where to see the processions. It is only a few blocks from the Cathedral, so hopefully not too far to go. My Sat. walk is about 22km. so don't want to wear myself out on Friday.

Ensure you stop at the Wine Fountain at Bodegas Irache. Rather than being a water fountain, it has wine, keeping to the original pilgrimage tradition. It’s about a day’s walk past Puente de la Reina. There are good views from Alto de Perdón (either day 1 or 2 of your walk). Iglesia de Santa María de Eunate just before Puente de la Reina, while temporarily closed, is still nice to see from the exterior.

Ten un Buen camino y diviértete.

Santa María de Eunate: "eun ate" means "a hundred doors" in Basque, and it´s also a name for ladies in Navarre and Basque Country.

I have seen the wine fountain before, but I don't drink wine. More for everyone else!
This is my 4th Camino, so some parts are familiar, while other sections will be new to me, especially after Fromista until Sarria. That will all be new.
Thanks for the tips about the Eunate. I enjoy visiting all of the ancient churches and will be making short videos each day.
