I wanted to know if I should purchase my tickets online before we go? We'll be going the first week of July. Any ideas on what website to use for booking in advance?

When you go be sure to visit the Cathedral Alumedena and t he museum associated with it...the museum entrance is at the 'back' of the building as you face the courtyard of the Placio. You can actually get to the top of the cathedral and have a fantastic view of the city.

The palace can close for official functions, as it did for most of the day the last time I was in Madrid. I'm not sure whether such closures are predicted on the ticket web site. Rick suggests calling a day or few ahead to check (914-548-800).
