We are two seniors traveling to Barcelona March 7-12, and have been looking for package deals that include the Aerobus, Hop On Hop Off, Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, Casa Battlo. Any suggestions? Or should we just get separate tickets for each? There are so many choices...
Not likely you’ll find any such package including all those together. The Modernist “Casas”mostly operate independently with their admission tickets sold separately.
Check the websites of the places you want to visit to see if they offer a senior/concessions price. If available those discounts would save you some money.
There aren't, sorry. Different operators run each one and are not part of any package deal. You'll need to get separate tickets for each
Thanks for the responses so far. Has anyone had experience buying Barcelona City Cards, which promise discounts on a number of sites? There are several different ones. Any thoughts?
I used the ArtTicket BCN when I visited, though it does not cover any of your listed activities. https://articketbcn.org/
You really have to do the math, based on the specific places you want to see. Small-percentage discounts might very well not cover the cost of the card. Keep in mind that most sightseeing cards are marketed by profit-seeking companies. How good a deal can they give you if they're skimming money off the top? The top sights in Barcelona are packed essentially every day of the year. They don't need to make deeply-discounted entries available to companies marketing sightseeing cards.
Thank you — that’s incredibly helpful advice! On to making individual reservations!
What we did was get on a hop on hop bus for the first day then we chose where we want to revisit. then we took the Hop on Hop off again the next day to go back to where we wanted to see. I do not remember an admission fees sorry. But we only had 2 full days before a cruise. So, one day was enjoy the totality of the city, the next day we went to 'targeted' sites. This trip in September we will go to Barcelona again. Maybe it isn't much help but it worked out for us. We also stayed about 10 minute or so walk inland from the beach so at the end of the day we could walk and get the nice breeze. I don't recall the hotel but if you want it I can find it.
Oh by the way, are seniors also, at the time 76 year old seniors
Thanks! Yes, we have tickets for Hop On Hop Off for the first two days. I've found that's a great way to get oriented.
