If you want to go to Cordoba, I’d either stop there on the way to Sevilla or just do it on the way to Madrid. That will save you the time of not backtracking.

You just have time for Toledo or Segovia - not both.

The popular sites need advanced tickets. If Spain is completely new, the Rick Steves Spain guidebook would be very helpful to maximize your time.

Your supposed itinerary can work logistically. My trip was 4 nights in Sevilla, two in Granada, two in Cordoba, 5 in Madrid, day trip to Toledo. One night could have been enough. Córdoba deserves a night instead of just a day trip depending on what else you want to see. I didn't make time for Málaga. If I could have taken a longer trip or if I had sacrificed Madrid, I would have seen Málaga too. Two nights in Granada is wise. Seville has a lot to do but depending on your interests, maybe Málaga is more appealing. Do you have a list of sights you want to see in in each city? Do you know what you are seeing and what you are ok with skipping? Do you think it would be wise to just focus on Andalucia in Southern Spain and sacrifice Madrid and Toledo on this trip?

You've allowed only a day and some hours for Seville itself, which seems very short to me. Another day in Seville would be more valuable to me than the day trip to Ronda.

I think this itinerary is a bit much. You have only 4 full days when you're staying in the city woke up in. That would be too hectic for me, never feeling like I settled in anywhere.

Thanks everyone for your replies / suggestions.
@Jean, I agree; it’s better logistically and saves time by stopping at Cordoba on our way to Madrid instead. Unfortunately, we will have our luggages with us unless we stay for a night in Cordoba. I am trying to work out a plan so we will have only 3 or 4 moves between hotels to save time for more sightseeing.

@Mike, we are considering staying in Malaga for 2 nights only and save the third night for Cordoba. We will not doing Ronda day trip as it’s a 4-5 hour round trip by bus, and it would be too much. My husband would like to see the Picasso Museum, and the rest of our time would be just unwinding from our Morocco tour. Since you had a 5-night stay in Madrid, looking back, do you wish you had a shorter stay there? I was told that 2 or 3 nights are enough for Madrid, but I don't know if that is enough.

@acraven, there will not be any day trip from Seville so we will have 2 1/2 days there. I will post our updated plans tomorrow.

I'm all for spending a night (or more than one night) in Cordoba, but there are places to store luggage in any city of size. There are luggage lockers at the Cordoba bus station, which is very near the train station. It seems the supply may not meet the demand, so it's quite possible to find all the lockers full when you arrive. But if you Google luggage storage Cordoba, you will have multiple options. Many of those places may charge by the piece rather than using lockers, so being able to consolidate luggage into fewer pieces will save money.

The Madrid area has enough to occupy you for a week or more. Madrid has 3 semi-big art museums in addition to the small but still worthwhile Joaquin Sorolla house museum that has some of the artists paintings and includes a good audio guide with an English option. ... Spain has more that is worth seeing than you have time for in just one 11-night trip. Considering that you would like to see the Picasso museum in Málaga, and if I had just 11 nights I would probably sacrifice Madrid and Toledo and focus on just Andalucia in Southern Spain. Or you could skip Seville and stick with just Malaga, Granada, Cordoba, and Madrid. If I had just 11 nights, I would pick either Seville or Madrid but not both. Do you have a list of what sights you want to fit in?
