I bought my AVE train tickets through Loco2 (very easy to do). I printed out the tickets. Now when I get to the train stations there in Spain do I need to go to a counter and turn them in for "tickets" OR does my printed out version become my ticket? If the latter, then do I scan it at a turnstyle, give to a conductor or?
I assume that you printed out something looking like other print-at-home tickets (for concerts, etc), 8.5 x 11" PDF format with a bar code on it. You don't go to any ticket window but your ticket and luggage will probably be scanned at the entrance to the scheduled train platform, rather than onboard the train itself.
I bought tickets through Loco2 and printed at home. We did not need to turn them in for anything else. They were scanned by an employee as we boarded.
