I have a lay over in Madrid November 29th, Sunday, from the Canary Islands. I get in at 7 pm and leave the next morning at noon. I would like to see the night life of Madrid but am traveling alone and do not feel safe with someone else with me. I am female. I get in too late for the 8 pm tapas tours and many of the other tours in town don't work on Sunday night. So, if you have suggestions of someone in Madrid that is safe and would like to make some extra money I would love to have someone show me some of Madrid at night. I would enjoy doing some of the tapas bars and maybe see a flamenco dancer. I'm not a big drinker or partier, I just want to get a taste of Madrid. I was hoping maybe one of the tour guides for a tour company would want to make extra money but I can't get the main tours to put that idea out to their employees. Any suggestions are welcome.
Try putting in an inquiry with Context Travel guides -- they have female guides in Madrid or maybe can connect you with someone. There is also a newsletter for British expats that lists their meet=ups but I forget the name of the publication...
Thank you for the information. I have e-mailed Context Travel so hopefully they will have some ideas for me.
I would contact some of the tour companies listed on Trip Advisor as well as perhaps posting your question on the Madrid forum there. With 156 tour companies operating there, surely one of them will have a guide available in the evening.

Try toursbylocals.com. They are individuals tour guides who can be hired for days or hours. We used them in Dublin and Brugge and we very happy. You can read their profiles and email them directly.
Thanks for the tip. I will.
