One day tours to Alhambra from Seville

We only have one day to see Alhambra from Seville. No time to spend a night in Granada, unfortunately. So looking for recommendations for a tour company that does one day bus tours from Sevilla to Alhambra. We know the bus will be 3 hours each way, this is our only option to see Alhambra. Which tour company does this the best? Great English speaking guides, informative, etc.

How old are you? Are you sure this is your last chance to travel to Spain? How much time are you taking off work? You should just acquiesce to skipping the Alhambra on this trip unless you can rearrange your schedule. I suggest you plan another trip and give yourself 2 nights in Granada (like I did): arrive in Granada in the afternoon to evening; that night in Granada, the Alhambra the next day, that night in Granada or if you really want to rush your trip, leave Granada the evening after you see the Alhambra. In travel, am not a fan of squeezing in towns as day trips which are better experienced as one or two nights in the town. My first city in Spain was Seville; My second city was Granada; I took an ALSA bus that left Seville at 9:am and arrived in Granada about 12 noon.

Hi Mike, I am just looking for recs for a one day tour. Not looking for other suggestions. Our plan is not perfect, but it is what we have.

Are you going to see the Royal Alcázar of Seville? How many days are you spending in Seville? Spend an extra day in Seville instead of trying to cram in the Alhambra in Granada. There is a high chance you won't even observe the place properly if you are constantly checking the time to make sure you don't miss your tour bus back to Seville or lose track of your tour guide.

A couple of years ago when planning a trip to Spain with a group of 10 people, I used Spain Private Guides to arrange a day of touring that would have been inconvenient using regular public transportation. I worked with Dolca to plan our itinerary, and we had an excellent experience. You might give them a try.

You could also investigate taking the train or ALSA bus, which might work fine if the schedules align with your day. Then hire a guide just for the Alhambra. Margarita Ortega Ortiz de Landazuri
is excellent.

Good luck!

Michelle, I agree with you that you should try to arrange a day trip to the Alhambra despite the difficult time frame. I am that person who has twice done Pompeii as a day trip from Rome despite all the advice on this forum not to do so. Neither I nor my other 4 companions on these day trips had any complaints.
