On-line ticket booking for Sevilla's Cathedral and Giralda Bell Tower?

Hi,
I am trying to book tickets in advance for Sevilla's Cathedral and Giralda Bell Tower, but could not find any clue on its Spanish only website.
Does it allow advanced on-line booking? If yes, can someone provide its website URL? An English one would be much better.
Thanks!

Chris,

When we visited Sevilla's Cathedral last October, we didn't find a long queue.
You're correct, the website is only in Spanish & I couldn't find one in English.

Do you have Rick Steves' Spain book?
His tip for not waiting in line at the cathedral is to go to the Church of the Saviour ( Iglesia del Salvador) on Plaza del Salvador where you can buy the ticket to the cathedral which also entitles you to visit the Iglesia del Salvador as well as the Giralda bell tower.

Hope this helps!

Edit to add... When you go to Plaza del Salvador, you may want to try our favorite place for tapas at La Antigua Bodeguita, where we ate 3 days in a row! ;-)

Edit to add again...
If you want to book your tickets online, you need to create an account before booking your tickets.

  1. http://catedraldesevilla.es/

  2. Click on "Visita Cultural" - brown rectangle 3rd from top

  3. Click on "Reservas"-- 4th from the top of brown rectangles (2nd column)

  4. Click on: "Crear nueva cuenta" (create new account) on the grey area
    (top left)

  5. Once you've created an account by entering your email & contact info, you'll click on: Catedral y Giralda, Procedimiento, Reservas (grey area top left)

  6. You will get a calendar where you will choose any date that is green ( red means unavailable)

  7. You'll get another screen where you type the number of tickets you want, on the white bar next to "Número de Personas"

  8. Then you click on "Enviar" (send) at the bottom of page.

  9. You'll see all the details pertaining to your tickets, then you click on " Ir a la pasarela", which will take you to the payment page.

Please let me know if it works.

Now that they have my email address, they will probably send me an email asking me why I didn't pay for my 2 tickets!!!

Chris,
Guests what? The first time I tried to purchase the tickets online, I did use my personal email & I accidentally clicked on
the bar indicating that I'd pay at the cashier when I get to Sevilla, so I received a confirmation email explaining where I would need to go to pick up my tickets (in Spanish)

So, you cannot print your tickets at home, you will only be reserving them & you will have to pick them up at the entrance closest to the Giralda, I think this is the entrance for tour groups.

Oh well... Lesson learned...Good night

Yes - buy them at the Salvador church a few blocks away. Then when you arrive at the Cathedral you can go right past the ticket buying line. Just be confident in going through a crowd to get to the ticket check.

Hi Priscilla,

Thank you very much for your detailed information! I followed your steps and intentionally chose to "pay cash", so I got the same email in Spanish, and will first go to the tower side group entrance box office so that I can pay the senior's rate, which is not available on their on-line booking website.

I hope this works :=) If not, my plan B is to buy the ticket at Church of the Savior (Iglesia del Salvador) on that day, as Mira and Rick Steves suggested.

Thank you all again!

Hi Chris,
It's good to hear that my instructions helped. It would be so much nicer if one could just print the tickets at home though.
Anyway, just make sure you take the confirmation & hopefully it will work out well for you.

Have a great trip!

Thank you, Priscilla!
We'll also go to Plaza del Salvadortry and try your favorite place for tapas at La Antigua Bodeguita, too. ^_^
Cheers,
Chris
