I just realized I will be in Seville on October 12 and it is a national holiday. Is this a good idea or not? Great and fun? Or crowded and things closed? I could change and go to Cordoba instead...thoughts?
Since it’s a national holiday, going to Córdoba wouldn’t change anything. My best guess is there will be more open in Sevilla than Córdoba, but that depends on what you planned on doing that day.
Check the websites of the places you’d like to visit in both cities and see whether they’ll be open on that day. That should help you decide.
Not only Oct 12 is the National Day of Spain...Oct 13 will also be taken off as part of that "bridge" vacation and places will be crowded everywhere, by locals. But nothing to worry about.
