Are you flying Seville to Lisbon followed by Lisbon to US? Check RS site regarding transportation between Spain and Portugal, it will require time, distance and money.

We are flying out of Lisbon to the US . We are planning on taking a bus from Seville to Faro, then high speed train to Lisbon. (or maybe rent a car). It seems fairly cheap from what I've gathered. The less time consuming route would be a flight which we have not ruled out either. Anyway tickets are bought so we will get there one way or another...
But I'm wondering about NYE :)

Enjoy you NYE with either culture. Both will have positives. I would vote for Lisbon.
