Hi! My family of four is looking for recs for NYE this year. We have 2 teens 17 and 15. We want to go to the fireworks but need somewhere to go for dinner before. We don’t want a prix fixe place because they are too restrictive and expensive with our kids. Any ideas?

My wife and I were just there this past September for La Merce fest.
Of course, there are countless places to eat. I'll simply mention a district down near the beach, because of its proximity plus its rep as a prime place for paella: Barceloneta.
It presents as an authentic, less-touristy neighborhood, one whose grittiness is part of the charm. Great food market, great bakery and cafe(s). And good for visits at any time of day.
We could also mention a few places to eat around Born and Gracia.
