Hi all, just wanted to make a public service announcement that a really cool new art museum called The Royal Collections Gallery (La Galeria de las Colecciones Reales) is opening in Madrid on 28 June of this year. The collection with comprise of five centuries of historic art and artifacts drawn from the 19 royal palaces and 10 monasteries across Spain, including works from Caravaggio, El Greco, Titian, and many others. There will also be many historic objects in addition to paintings, like a royal coach from 1600s and portions of the original Moorish walls of Madrid, all within a modern 40,000 sq metre gallery located right across from the Palacio Real next to La Almudena Cathedral.
