Need Madrid restaurant recommendation for our anniversary

My husband and I will be in Madrid for our 35th wedding anniversary following our Rick Steves Barcelona and Madrid tour and we need a recommendation for a restaurant for our anniversary dinner. We are not looking for extreme gourmet (not into squid, octopus, etc.) but would like good food with a wonderful view if possible. For comparison, for our 33rd anniversary we had dinner at 58 Tour Eiffel on the Eiffel Tower and had a spectacular table, for our 34th we ate at a rooftop restaurant in Athens with a great view of the Acropolis.

I would like to make a reservation so I would welcome some recommendations.

Thanks

Not a view like you Paris, but Las Cuevas de Luis Candelas at the Plaza Mayor is nice. Believe it is known for its cochinillo (suckling pig). Pricey, but has a good reputation.

Be aware that in Madrid, octopus and squid are the opposite of "extreme gourmet" - they're extremely common, and if you don't want to eat them, you will have to be on guard for them everywhere, particularly in tapas.

I always say that while food in Madrid is not exclusively ham and sea creatures, it sure seems like it at first. If you're looking to avoid these things, you have to be careful and diligent (if you want them, it's easy).
