Need a reliable, safe, and scenic means to get from Seville to Lisbon

My wife and I are finishing a Rick Steves tour of Spain in Seville this October, and we thought it would be nice to spend a few days in Lisbon. We could fly there, but then we wouldn't really get to see anything between the two cities. So we've been considering trains, buses, and ride-sharing. Unfortunately, the quickest trains seem to take over 11 hours. We see buses that make the trip in about 6 hours, which sounds acceptable to us, but we know nothing about these bus lines. If the windows are wide and clean and the seats reasonably comfortable, and the bus is clean, then we will be happy. Does anyone have any recommendations or relevant experiences? We also saw that there are some ride-sharing services, like the one at blablacar.es, but when I searched it for a Seville-to-Lisbon connection, I found nothing. Does anyone have any advice about ride-sharing services?

Thanks very much.

For a number of reasons the rail system in Spain never developed to the level of the systems in the rest of Europe. However, the buses filled in the gap. We use the buses more than the trains when we are in Spain. They are all very nice. often MBenz, comfortable, clean, etc. The seating is not as comfortable as a train simply because you don't have the room to wonder around as you do on the train. All have a water closet BUT they (the driver) discourage the use except in an emergency. The bus make frequent stop so that should not be a major issue. If the bus is shorter time wise than the train, I would do it. When we used the buses they were much cheaper than the trains.

You could take a bus from Seville to Faro and switch to a train there, I believe. I doubt that would be faster than the wholly-by-bus trip, but maybe it's not much longer, either. I haven't traveled between Seville and Lisbon, so I can't comment on the comfort level of either mode of transportation.
