My husband and I will be in Granada, Spain, in September. We would like to hire a horticulturalist guide for a visit to the Alhambra. All I can find online are companies that provide tours but none say that they are specialists in plants or landscape architecture. Could someone please give me some guidance. Thanks,

You could look through this list of credentialed private guides in Granada and contact several to see if they might offer a tour focusing on the plants and landscaping of the Alhambra.
Ten years ago we enjoyed a small group tour that focused on the water of the Alhambra and the engineering and landscape design that kept the gardens watered and the fountains flowing. It was offered by this organization, but they do not seem to be offering tours like that these days.
