Naples and Sicily in February?

My husband loves Italy and wants to celebrate a milestone birthday in February by going to Naples, Amalfi coast, and Sicily. Does anyone have feedback about whether or not this is a reasonable time to go? My concern is bad weather - although it will probably be better than our weather in Ohio - and closed restaurants/sights.

Our plan B is perhaps southern Spain and Morroco.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

My husband and I went to Sicily one year for his birthday (March 21). It was cold and rainy. Our lodging on Sicily's west coast had good heating (though we may have run it so much it cost them a bundle), but restaurants were cold, cold, cold. Not very pleasant. However, as our trip went on, the weather improved greatly, until we were hot in Agrigento. I think it's a crapshoot.

The previous year we had also visited Sicily, though in May. In Siracusa, my husband asked our restaurant hosts what the weather was like there in January. "Lots of rain," they said.
