Name on Alhambra ticket vs. passport

Hi,

I am going to Granada in April and just booked a ticket to Alhambra. For those non-Spanish travelers, I was wondering for the “name” column, if you put your first name only or both first and middle name as shown on your passport when you booked a ticket. If you just put first name only, did you have any issue when checking in? Thanks!

As a general rule, I do not use my middle name unless there’s a specific place for it. I had no problems at the Alhambra.

The whole process of the ticket into the Alhambra and Nasrid Palaces can seem daunting (filling out the form, when to get in line, etc.) However, this past January (in the 60s and lovely, btw), my husband and I had visited the Alhambra and the Palace grounds over several hours and then left the grounds. I tossed my ticket. We then discovered that the best way to get where we wanted to go next was by going through the Alhambra and Palace grounds, but I no longer had my ticket. We approached the guard who said there was no problem and simply plugged in the info from my passport which you have to have to enter, anyway.

Yes, it seemed to me that for entry, they checked my passport info much moreso than my ticket!

You can use just your first name (we did). They just want to make sure you are the same person as on the ticket and that you aren't reselling it.

We were at the Alhambra a few days ago, They scanned our passports and never even asked to see our tickets.
