Name of Plaza in Sevilla

A few years ago we stated in Sevilla at the Hotel Un Patio al Sur on Calle Fernan Caballero. At the end of the street was a charming little plaza with three wrought iron crosses. The plaza had a small cafe at one end and a grey and white tile pattern on the pavement. I have looked all over for the name of the plaza..... I checked Google maps with the address of the hotel but they did not show a plaza at the end of the street. I did a generic search for plazas in Sevilla, as well as searches for plaza of the cross in Spanish and English. No luck. Would anyone happen to know the plaza I am talking about? It was quite small but charming. I'm trying to direct some friends there. (ps, I could post a picture if that were possible on these forums but I don't think it is) TIA

Ray,

You might be thinking of, 'Plaza de las Cruces' (Plaza of the Crosses), but it's not near the hotel you mentioned above.

Here is a photo I found:
http://www.viajesvirtuales.es/plaza_de_las_cruces_barrio_de_santa_cruz_sevilla_sevilla_espana-1045-es.html

Click on 'mapa' (map), below the photo, to see it's location.

Plaza Santa Cruz is also a tiny plaza with a lovely wrought iron cross, surrounded by trees & bushes, so it's difficult to see the cross from the street.

Just google 'Plaza Santa Cruz' to see images of this cross & its location.

Did you look at Google Street View? It's a long shot, but if there's street view by the plaza there could be a sign or at least a restaurant name The you could search "Restaurant Name" and it might say "located on Plaza blah". I looked at streetview fairly close to the hotel and didn't see any plaza names, but I don't know exactly where you mean. I was in this area once or twice but your plaza description doesn't ring a bell.

Many thanks, it is the plaza of the crosses. I did not book the hotel in Seville and I recall there were 2 hotels (a mini chain!) with the same name. Initially we went to the wrong one and were puzzled when they did not have our reservation (which we had confirmed.) In any event, the plaza was only a few steps from our hotel and we really enjoyed the sangria and people watching from the little cafe. I appreciate everyone's time and effort.... %)

Plaza Santa Cruz is what I thought you were referring to, but then I saw your hotel was in a different part of town...
