I am looking at day tours to see beach towns on the Costa Brava.
Is Girona a MUST SEE?
I have an option for a tour that includes Girona, Peratallada and Calella de Palafrugell
OR
Girona and Tossa de Mar?
Girona and Tossa de Mar are very impressive for their historic centers, castles and Roman/Moorish architecture. The beaches below Tossa’s castle are unbeatable.
We spent 2 nights in Girona and loved it. We visited Tossa de mar and Calella de Palafrugell. You really can't go wrong with either combination. Calella de Palafrugell is a small fishing village, smaller than Tossa, but very cute and pretty. Tossa has the dramatic medieval village and castle on the top of the hill overlooking the water.
I have researched both options, looking at photos, etc... I posted the question to get someone to help me decide because they both options look great. If you could only go to one beach town for a couple hours: Tossa or Palafrugell?
Tossa de Mar.
Thank you Kenko! That was my first instinct...
As much as I liked both places, I agree with Kenko! I would visit Tossa de Mar if I could visit only one of them. You won't be disappointed.
Thank you.
