Does anyone have suggestions for the best way to reach and visit Monjuic for someone in a wheelchair? Our group is 4 adults including the person in the wheelchair. The wheelchair user has some ability to walk short distances with a cane or walker. We primarily want to visit Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya and Fundació Joan Miró which are both accessible for a wheelchair user. We are staying in the L'Eixample District. I see transportation options to arrive/depart via: bus; bus/Funicular; maybe taxi? I don’t believe the Teleferic de Montjuic would be a good option for us, but not sure if that is a correct assumption.
I am mostly concerned about arriving to the area and being able to navigate our way to the two museums- ideally going downhill! We are open to visiting other areas of interest at Montjuic as it sounds like there’s a lot to do here. I have read several different websites about transportation to the area, but I am not sure what would be recommended as a good option for us. I know the bus and funicular are accessible for a wheelchair user. I am hoping that someone who is familiar with the area can make some suggestions for type of transportation and the best order for us to visit the museums and other sites. Thanks in advance.
