On another post I saw mention that the free "museums" at the Alhambra were possibly closed on Monday. Is that correct? I see no mention of that on the Alhambra site or in Rick's book. We were planning to go on a Monday, but would change dates (to Tuesday) if some of the sights are closed. Thank you in advance.
The Museum of The Alhambra - a small museum inside the Charles V Palace is closed on Monday. It is interesting, but it is small and I wouldn't change plans to see it. Unless you have some super-specialized interest, of course. But for most people (myself included), it's just not necessary.

There is also an art museum in the Charles V, but I can't find info on its opening days/times. Again, not worth changing plans.
Thank you, Mira!! Neither of those particular places being closed on Monday would be enough for us to change our proposed itinerary!!! The main bits of the Alhambra are our focus, so as long as most is open, that will be enough for us. I suspect that the day and the sightseeing will be long enough without seeing those 2 places anyway! I, myself, will be happy with the Gardens and the Palaces! Long ago we learned that we can't see it all on any of our trips! Actually it might be a GOOD thing that they are closed.....we won't, then, feel compelled to visit them!!
