Yikes! I botched it and forgot to get tickets for Sagrada Família. My mind just wasn’t working after Dijon and Paris and Madrid. Headed to Barcelona tomorrow for 3 days and no tickets. Help me out with other things I should see! Beaten or off the beaten track. Gaudí or not Gaudi. I’m all yours!!! Help a girl out. ( sisters 67 and 73 love museums, History, architecture, music and food)..
The Domenech I Montaner Hospital de Sant Pau is really interesting and beautiful:

Here is a report that I wrote about restaurants/food, from my most recent stay this past March:

Don't fret about missing Sagrada Familia; it's just one of so many wondrous sights in Barcelona..... If you have the chance to see a performance at the Palau de Musica, that is even more astonishing! I saw NORMA there a few months ago and I was in tears during the opera--the beauty of this venue just cannot be described in words. There are photos of it in my report, linked above.
I still remember the great visit on our last trip to the Miró museum (Fundació Juan Miró) atop the Montjuic hill. You can get tickets Online (save €1), but I see there’s also an available combo ticket for a temporary exhibit at Gaudí’s Casa Batlló, “Gaudí-Miró-Gomis: Deconstructed,” paired with a skip-the-line entry to the Miró museum:

A different Barcelona... Torre Bellesguard and, since you're "in the zone," drop by Monestir de Pedralbes
How about a food tour? We enjoyed ours there with Devour tours last year.
Have you looked at 3rd party sales for Sagrada Familia? Check Get Your Guide or Viator.
Alternatively, word has it that cancelled tickets are posted around 8 a.m. for the day of slots...on the official website.
Also, you can enter for religious services.
Thank you everyone for your responses! We had an extra unexpected event - Barcelona had an unprecedented rainfall ( the largest in 20 years) over the two and a half days we were there. It pretty much shut everything down half a day both days. However we did do the HOHO tour bus- which was great in the drizzly parts. We got to the Hospital San Pau which was amazing, Toured the Batllo house, La Pedrero ( Gaudi residential designs), as well as the Palau de la Música which was astounding! Wandered the Gothic Quarter and the Rambla. Thanks again for being a great community!! Will def go back and pick up on all the other recommendations we couldn’t fit in due to the rain.
