Hello all,
I am just in the beginning stage of planning a possible trip to Europe in October 2025 and am considering Menorca, Spain. I would love any information on weather in October (swimming possible?), where to stay on the island, and how difficult/easy is it to drive.

Unfortunately, October is the time when the weather has changed to the worse. I was there several years ago in September for one week. I only had one day of sun. The sea was rough and the touring boat company cancelled my trip.
Consider July BEFORE school holidays begin. August is nice but super crowded.

That's not an accurate statement. I've been to Mallorca many times in October (and September when you experienced poor weather in Menorca) and the weather has always been very pleasant. I've probably experienced the odd shower or two but certainly nothing like you described so I'd suggest that you experienced a spell of bad weather that is not typical.
