Meeting other seniors

It is my understanding that Malaga is popular with visitors and retirees from the inside Spain, the UK and Western Europe. I suggest searching for a board from the UK that focuses on travel and retirement to Spain. I don't have one to recommend as I have never needed to search for one.

I have a month planned in Malaga for this winter. it gets its fair share of Expats as do the smaller towns along that coast. There are several expat Facebook groups to join that are most likely the best way to meet others. They will post activities on their specific FB groups. Meetup website may also have activities to consider, but my initial looking shows more night time events and not senior focused.
Something else to consider is if you were intending to improve your Spanish. Therr are a few websites that let you register to share language skills. There are senior Malaganos wanting to practice English. You may be able to jist help them with English or trade time between English and Spanish. I noticed a number of retirees looking for daytime English practice.
Also think about any other hobbies you may have and see if you can find a local group to either join, or attend as a guest. Or find a local lawn bowling, bocce ball, or pickle ball facility to join for the month

Malaganos. Sounds interesting.

I found my notes....but understand I haven't delved too far into them yet as to how useful they would be or pricing, if any, but here are some of the language exchange sites. Tandem, Conversation Exchange, My Language Exchange. Meet Up has Mundo Lingua Malaga, International or Malaga Language Exchange for evening get together.
I haven't been on a Rick Steves tour and most likely never will but I find this forum and the members very helpful for trip planning and questions.

If you are looking for a quieter and more relaxed stay, I would personally recommend Estepona rather than Málaga. Málaga is a great city, but it can be quite busy and noisy, while Estepona has a much calmer atmosphere and is still a lovely place to spend a month.

For accommodation, I would also suggest checking local rental companies rather than only Booking or Airbnb. For longer stays, local agencies can sometimes have better options and more direct contact with the owners.

I won’t post a link here in case it gets removed, but you can search for Sunset Rental Sotogrande and have a look at their apartments in the area.
