Potentially going for 3-4 days. If I fly into Palma from Barcelona, do your recommend having a car? Thanks in advance!
We did this a few years ago. If you stay in Palma you won’t need a car. If you plan on seeing any of the island one will be necessary. Once you get off the mIn motorway, be prepared for roads that are Very narrow and with stone walls.
Have a car. Whilst it is feasible to spend 3 to 4 days in Palma you'll be missing out on what this wonderful island has to offer. Driving is a joy in Mallorca (once you get out of Palma and the immediate area).
You can do without a car if needed, balancing your time between two locations connected by bus, that would be best if you are just looking to see a little something and maybe spend time on the beach.
If you are looking to hit a few sights and explore though, move around in your few days, then yeah, a car makes sense.
We were in Palma de Mallorca for a few days and did not have a car. If we go back, I would really like to have a car, but we will stay in a hotel outside of the capital. There's a lot to see outside of Palma de Mallorca.
Thank you all! I think a car would be best!
