I have not been on this board for some time and got wonderful help last trip when we drove 3 weeks from Madrid to Marbella and toured many sites and towns along the way.
We will be on the TransAtlantic cruise which ends in Barcelona but we will get off the ship in Malaga since we were able to secure The Mariott Marbella for the week and did not want to drive back from Barcelona for 11 hours.. We do however have 3 days before we check into the hotel and wondering if we should spend the time in Malaga. I have read mixed thoughts about Malaga.
My plan was to spend 2-3 nights in Malaga. Pick up a car and drive to Marbella where we will spend the week.
or
2 nights in Malaga and then drive to Ronda for a night. We were there last trip during the day and found it fascinating.
or
Stay in Marbella for the 3 nights and if so where.
We live in Delray Beach Florida so the beach is not necessary and we will be on the sea in Marbella.
If we stay in Malaga or Marbella where should we stay? I would need a hotel which is accessible by taxi since we have luggage since we will be flying to Venice after Spain and then on to cruise through Croatia.
All suggestions welcome....
