Malaga airport processing for 6 am flight to paris

Hello
Has anyone taken this flight recently and found that the passport control lines are long at this time? I have heard that in April the lines were over 2 hours long and i was wondering what time to arrive at the airport. On the ticket it says last check in will be at 5 am and i was thinking to arrive there at 4 am. Any suggestions would be appreciated

When are you travelling? Malaga airport is always busy but more so during the peak holiday periods. Check-in desks don't open until 2 hours before the flight departure so there's no point arriving earlier than 04:00. Security checks at the airport are a pain as it's not well managed and very inefficient. I've always had to rush through Malaga more so than any other airport although I've never experienced passport control taking anywhere near 2 hours to get through.

Thank you so much i am travelling tomorrow may 13 and i am hoping that because it is a 6 am flight that it would not be crowded. Your response really helps me

I think you should be OK. It's not peak holiday season and most tourist flights tend to leave Malaga at night. I don't expect it will be busy enough to cause any issues for you.

We had a 6 am flight last week from Malaga to Paris. Arrived at 4 am to check in and there was already about 20 people in the check in line. Got through in about 20 minutes and then no wait at security
