I am looking at departing from Malaga Airport in stead of Seville. This would mean we would end our 16 days with a possible stay of 2/3 nights in Malaga area. Thinking we will travel from Madrid to Seville; Seville Malaga (2 plus hr). With that being said. Would it be possible to get to Ronda (I guess reasonable)? Also what other things in Malaga area. We are thinking of skipping the Alhambra/Granda (I know many will think were nuts) but I think the many cathedrals & palaces etc that we will be seeing we want to get to the southern coast.

We'll be in that area this Fall, also. If you check the rome2rio.com site, you can see transportation options. It looks like from Ronda to Malaga you could either travel by train or bus. But, also check on the details (left column) after you enter the two locations. Some options only run a couple of times a day while others are more frequent.
From Seville, we're going to Ronda, to Granada, to Frigiliana (near Nerja) with our last day/night at Malaga in the old city center before flying back home.

thank you another thing we will be in Malaga at the end of November. I know it will not be beach weather so would this area still be appealing. We are not looking to sunbath we are looking for the beautiful serenity of the sea and surroundings
