Madrid Walking Tours

We (family of 4 w/ two teen boys) are planning a trip to Madrid-Pamplona-Barcelona in July, and trying to pack in as much as possible. We are interested in a walking tour of Madrid for our first day. Any recommendations? I've looked at Trip Advisor, but there are so many choices.

I took the tour of the historic center offered by the tourist office back in 2016 and enjoyed it. The T.O. is always my first choice for an introductory walking tour, because I figure the guide will not be making up a lot of entertaining stories in an effort to get large tips.

Are you looking for the cheapest tour or the best tour?

In my opinion, walking tours should include some of the key sights of a city, hopefully with an inside visit.
I highly recommend Walks of Madrid-- I use this company all over Europe.

The half day tour that includes entrance to the Royal Palace and the Prado is simply fabulous. (I did it this past August with husband).

By the way, I am completely bilingual and I have even lived in Spain, but often I like having someone else arrange everything for me, especially when it is of the highest quality.
