In regards to the set taxi rate from Madrid Central to the airport. Last year we paid 33EUR, I think it’s still the same.
Does this apply if you are travelling from Chamartín-clara Campoamor or Atocha train station to an airport hotel?
We are considering Hotel Nuevo Boston. I found this hotel from some past post on this forum.
Or do you have to be dropped off at the airport for the 33EUR to apply.

The official text successively mentions "the airport" and "the airport zone", so it is a bit vague.
But Hotel Nuevo Boston is definitely outside of the airport zone proper, so the meter would apply.
How early is your flight, though?
For a flight out of T4, if you arrive at Chamartin I'd consider a hotel near that station: the train ride takes just 15 min, and the first train arrives at 5:45 at the airport.
For a flight out of T1-2-3, somewhere around Nuevos Ministerios / 4 Caminos would work quite well, too.
I believe the fixed price only applies if getting in or out at one of the official airport terminal taxi ranks. However, your hotel isn't very far from the centre and even on a meter should be less than the airport price. Perhaps €20-30 depending on where exactly you pick up in Madrid and the time of day, luggage supplements, etc. I'd expect going from Charmatin to be a little cheaper than going from Atocha given their locations. Obviously, you'll need to get from the hotel to the airport the next day, but they may have a shuttle.

I was a bit hesitant about the metered taxi at peak hour. I had a bad experience in Madrid last year with a taxi . It happens sometimes, never had any issues before in Spain the taxis are usually excellent.
Normally I would stay in Madrid central but in this instance decided on one night, en route. Hotel Nuevo is cheap with brekky included and a free shuttle, closer to the airport, another half hour extra sleep.
I never been to Charmatin always Atocha. I didn’t even consider staying around Nuevos Ministerios and neither did I consider a train to T4. Good idea.
