Madrid & Soria Wedding Expedition

Hi ! We're a family group of 6–7 traveling from Seattle to Soria for a wedding at the end of August: two older adults, one young mom, three children under 5, maybe one additional helper. (Soria is the bride's ancestral home; we're the groom's side of the family.)

Flying into Madrid, renting a 9-seat van, and looking for a family-friendly 3–4 bedroom apartment or small house ... assuming VRBO or AirBNB, right?

  • First, for a couple of nights in Madrid at both the beginning and the end of the trip
  • And then, for four or five nights in Soria.

Priorities are easy parking/loading, an elevator if it's an apartment, washer, kitchen, and low-stress access rather than nightlife. Neighborhood suggestions?

Many thanks for any & all assistance.

I can’t help with lodging as we stayed at the Parador. A couple places we visited and enjoyed were Monasterio de San Juan de Duero ruins and Ermita de San Saturio. For San Saturio, there’s a free parking lot just off the N-234, then about a half mile walk along the river to the chapel.

I suggest looking at Booking.com where you are most likely to find licenced lets.
Airbnb and other unlicenced lettings have been banned in Madrid and elsewhere in Spain.
You should also search for places with parking, and I would suggest not too near the centre. Traffic and parking is a nightmare in Madrid.
