Madrid's Royal Palace and Prado Combo Ticket

Can anyone tell me from experience if this is a good value? The cost is 49 Euros and it includes a guided tour in both locations.

Tickets to the Prado cost 15 euros; there are discounts, but I don't know for whom. Tickets to the Royal Palace costs 12 euros; there are discounts for children, students and seniors. The mark-up for the included tours is quite low, given that two sights are involved. I wonder who conducts the tours and how long they last.

The palace is large; does the tour include all the rooms open to the public? (I would guess not.) You can download an audio guide to your smartphone for 4 euros.

The Prado is huge. It takes many hours to see the entire thing, just pausing in front of some of the pictures. I think I spent 5 or 6 hours there; I like art but am not an expert. Tours in art museums typically focus on a few major works. Will that be enough for you? Will the works chosen by the guide be ones you're interested in? The museum rents an audio guide for 5 euros.

Which sight will be visited first? It's quite possible that ticketing procedures will not allow readmission if you feel the tour was too short and want to go back to see more later in the day--but I don't know this for sure.
