Madrid Royal Palace Tickets

We are trying to book our tickets for the Royal Palace in Madrid for mid Sep for our family of 3, and I had a couple of questions.
1. If one of our tickets is for 65+ (which makes it half off), will that still allow us to enter without having to go to the ticket office first, or will it add the extra burden of standing in a physical line?
2. Is 4Euro per person audio guide through their app worth it?
3. Is it worth getting a separate ticket to see the kitchens?
Thanks!

When we went in May, even though we bought tickets in advance, we still had to wait in line to enter and go through a security check. If you have your tickets in your hand for scanning at the door, you don't have to go to the ticket office.
The audio guide was absolutely worth it.
Didn't go see the kitchens, so can't answer that one.
