Madrid Royal Palace Kitchen - worth the extra 4 Euro?

I'm booking for tickets for a visit to Madrid, which is a few weeks away. On the website I have the option to buy entrance to the Royal Kitchen for an extra 4 Euros. It's not covered in the guidebook, and there's not much info on the website.

Has anyone had the pleasure, and if so, was it worth the time and extra cost?

Ciao,
Scott

Depends on what they are serving that day, Scott. Anything good?

There are beautiful pictures of it on the internet and for a few Euros I would surely spend the money.

What website? 4 Euros added to what kind of ticket for what place? I'm wondering if I should start selling tickets to Union Square in San Francisco and offer the lobby of the St. Francis for an additional $4,
and once that gets going, I can start selling shares in the Brooklyn Bridge.

For what it's worth, I didn't buy the extra ticket when I was there last week. By the time I was done with the main palace and armory I felt quite ready to move on.

Gail: thanks, I'll check them out. I did a quick search and only found the palace, not the kitchen.

Scudder: I share your thoughts. Kitchens like this in other palaces are usually really cool, but the size and splendor of the palace itself looks a bit exhausting.

As one who toured the palace it was all a bit much and I'm not sorry I missed the palace. I'm not a fan of Baroque architecture and there was only so many gold cherubs I can handle. I really don't think you'd miss much.
