We are planning on seeing Museo Lazaro Galdiano when we visit Madrid in early May. Do we need to purchase a ticket in advance or is it ok upon arrival in the morning near opening time (either a Tuesday or Thursday)? Thank you in advance.

I had no problem walking up to buy a ticket back in the beginning of February. It was very quiet when I was there—I imagine a function of it being a lesser-known museum and being a bit off the beaten track.
But lovely, and worth the visit. I'd also highly recommend the Museo Sorolla.
