Madrid - La Latina ok for a family with 2 teenagers?

We booked our travel...not realizing that it is Holy Week...now I'm scrambling for a place to stay. We want an apartment - the teenagers don't want to share a bed - a boy and a girl...so sleeping is complicated - I need at least 3 beds...

I've found a place near La Latina - is this good for families? We are not a conservative bunch - but we want history, city, etc. All advice is welcome.

We always rent in La Latina and enjoy the eclectic experience.
PM me the address and I may be able to help you with some local knowledge.
We like staying here due to being a short walk away from the old town tourist zones, but out of the main stream of tourism.

We spent 6 nights in La Latina a couple of years ago on our first visit to Madrid and loved the area. We were on Cava Alta which is parallel to a fun tapas street Cava Baja. It is a great area not far from the Royal Palace complex and a not difficult walk to the museum area across town or you can take the subway -- we usually walked one way and rode the other. There is a lovely gem of a church/museum not far away which is far more interesting than the Cathedral (it served as the former Cathedral) Here are some snapshots of our visit to this church/museum:

We loved the La Latina area and would stay there again and had a great apartment. Hope you love it too.
