Anybody who has been on Rick's tours, which hotels does he use in Madrid ? I have found the hotels he uses while we are on his tours are always in great locations so I'd like to use his Madrid hotels if possible! Thanks!
We have used Hotel Europa several times. Love the location. Do think that Steves uses that hotel from time to time.
We are going to Madrid in a few weeks and looking for a place to stay for 2 nights. No availability at Hotel Europa, and it appears that Hostel Acapulco (suggested in an older posting) has a 3-night minimum. Any other recommendations? Thanks!
B&B Hotel Puerta del Sol is another 3 star in a similar location.

Or maybe Room Mate Alicia on gorgeous buzzy Plaza Santa Ana.
I don't know what your budget is, but we'll be staying here in a few weeks and it appears to be a great location:

We've always enjoyed any hotel he recommended in any of his books. I'm not a tour person, so I have no idea which he stays at. On our last two stops in Madrid, we stayed at Hotel Europa right at the Puerta del Sol and easy to get to from the airport.
I am in Madrid fairly frequently, and many of my friends love Hotel Europa. I have not stayed there because I have Starwood points gifted to me.
We'll be staying at the Artrip Hotel in October. It's not in the blue bible, but it gets a nice write-up in the Lonely Planet Spain book.
I've stayed 3 times at Hotel Casón del Tormes and would recommend it. It's on a quiet street off the Gran Vía at Plaza de España.
