My husband and I want to visit Madrid for about 6 nights end August beg September 2024 - we want a nice hotel where we can cool off in a pool after a long day sightseeing - anybody got any good recommendations for a good 4 star plus hotel with a pool within walking distance of museums?

Haven’t stayed at either but the Hard Rock hotel by the Reina Sofía museum has an outdoor pool. The Radisson Blu Hotel Madrid Prado and Mandarin Oriental Ritz, across the street from the Prado museum have indoor pools

The Indigo, an IHG hotel, on Gran Via has a rooftop pool, as another option. It is well located to central Madrid.

Hotel Santo Domingo off the Gran Via at Plaza Santo Domingo has a rooftop pool. A bit of a walk to the Prado et al but the subway is across the street.

The Hotel Emperador Madrid had a rooftop pool. Its been years since I have stayed at this Hotel. It was remodeled a few years back and is very nice. Returning there end of August. Great location on the Gran Via!
