My husband and I will be taking an 8:00 am train out of Chamartin Station, and would like to stay in a hotel (nice, but not fancy) not too far away. Does anyone have a recommendation? Thank you! Anne N.

We’re staying at hotel Via Castellana, Paseo de la Castellana, 220 , the night before we catch a train at the same station on an upcoming trip. It’s only a couple blocks from the train station. It appears to be fine for what we need and had decent reviews. There’s also a hotel Eurostars Madrid Tower and Hotel Exe Plaza, but I know nothing about them. Across the street from the station is Hotel Madrid Chamartin by Melia. It’s the closest to the station I’m aware of.

Weare Hotel Chamartin is right at the station. It's got good ratings and we are staying there in January, therefore I can't attest personally to how it is. Just another one for you to look into.
