Hi! We are a family of five (kids' ages 17, 14, and 12). We are currently in Madrid. We've seen the Royal Palace and are about to take a segway tour through Retiro Park. We have 2 more days here and would like to take a couple of day trips. Any suggestions? I'm thinking Toledo, Segovia or Avila....Thanks!
- Toledo (had emough to keep me busy for at least two solid days)
- Segovia (kids might well prefer it; that aqueduct is spectacular)
Avila is not remotely in the same ballpark as the first two.
I think the tickets to Toledo will be cheaper since they do not rise in price as the travel date approaches. In both cases a round-trip ticket may save you quite a bit of money as compared to two one-ways.
