Our family has a flight departing the Madrid Airport on January 6 (Three Kings Day) at 6 a.m., flying to Amsterdam and then on to the U.S. I see online that the recommendation is to arrive at the Madrid airport three hours early. That would put us there at 3 a.m. Is this really necessary that early in the morning, and on a holiday? Or would two hours (4 a.m. arrival) be sufficient? We will be booking a private transfer to the airport because of the holiday and early hour.
