Madrid and Seville: What tickets should I purchase in advance?

Heading to Madrid and Seville in early October. I've compiled a long list of various sites to visit, but am looking for advice on tickets I might want to purchase in advance.

Though all travel and accommodations have already been booked, my daily itineraries are very flexible at this point, so all recommendations are welcome!

Assuming that your plans include the Prado, Reina Sofia and the Thyssen Bornemisza museums, you should consider the Paseo del Arte ticket, which admits you to all three and provides a small discount. With the Paseo del Arte ticket, you aren't tied to a specific date and time to visit the museums, giving you some flexibility. Plus, you don't have to stand in the really long line at the Prado with the people who didn't book ahead.

IN seville, I would book the Alcazar a few days in advance to avoid potential lines. If you go and see a flamenco show, I can recommend La casa de la memoria, book a day or 2 in advance as well.
In Madrid, I booked the Royal palace in advance, and the Prdao museum the day before going. this was in june this year, a buzier time than october i think

Other than the Prado that always seems busy, in October you probably don’t need to buy any tickets in advance. I’ve never purchased tickets for any sight in Madrid or Sevilla in advance and haven’t had to wait in a line. We normally travel in May or late September. If it makes you more comfortable, by all means, purchase in advance. Remember the Reina Sofia has free evening and Sunday hours that may be more time than you need and can save you some money.
