Madrid and Seville itinerary

We will be arriving on a Monday morning in Madrid after an overnight flight.
We will be traveling to Seville by train after spending several hours in Madrid.
What is best way to travel from the airport to the train station? Are there luggage storage facilities at the Madrid train station?
Has anyone had experience with the Siesta and Go Nap Bar in Madrid?
Thanks in advance.

Your train to Seville will depart from Atocha station (there are multiple train stations in Madrid).

Which airport terminal will you be arriving at? If T4, there is a direct cercanias train from there to Atocha. If you're arriving at T1, T2, or T3, you would have to take a free shuttle bus to terminal 4 to get this train. The train costs €2.60, but should be free with your ticket from Atocha to Seville (look for the cercanias code on the ticket).

You can also take bus 203 from all terminals to Atocha (€5 per person). Or you can take a taxi, which has a fixed rate of €30 with no need to tip beyond this.

I think the best way to the station is by the express bus -it costs a little more than the metro but it goes directly to Atocha, which is where you want to be. 5 euros and stops at terminal 1, 2, and 4 . https://www.esmadrid.com/en/airport-express

Yes there is luggage storage at the station. Look for the consigna signs. If I remember correctly it is in a hall right off the main section (the tropical garden).

Mira mentioned the metro, and I mentioned the cercanias train. These are two different things. I didn't mention the metro because I agree with her - it's not the best way for your needs. But the cercanias can work well.

There are luggage lockers just off the garden. There is an attendant who will scan your bags and can help you with the lockers. There are instructions in English and various sizes of lockers. As you face the garden, with your back to the shops and trains, it's at the far end on the right. At the near end on the right are toilets. Once you've stashed your luggage you may want to return to the metro - same place as the cercanias - to get to sights in the city.

The entrance to the AVE trains will be in front of you as you return from retrieving your luggage and leave the garden. Allow a few minutes to go through security and get to your platform.

If you buy your Sevilla tickets at the airport (or if you've bought them online in advance), you will get free cercanias tickets to Madrid. It will also save your having to buy the tickets at Atocha where the lines can be long.
