Going to Madrid and Granada in mid June. Flying in and out of Madrid, been there before, taking Ave to Granada. First time in Granada, very excited. I've read the Rick Steves guides, but was looking for suggestions for good places to eat and also--good flamenco shows. Especially love tapas place and outdoor dining. Also--climate? How warm will it be in Granada, in terms of packing clothes. I'm wondering if it's a bit cooler than Madrid since it's in the mountains? Finally--should we try to get train tix ahead of time for the Ave? We'll be coming and going mid-week from Madrid. Thanks in advance!

Our favorite restaurant in Granada is El Trillo Restaurante, recommended to us by our hotel. Located in the Albayzin. We walked uphill from our hotel. It was quite a walk. The views of the Alhambra along the way are gorgeous and well worth the walk. They offer outdoor dining in a very pretty garden.
