I will be arriving from Newark at Madrid Airport Terminal 1 on United Flight 62 Oct. 16 at 10:05 and departing from Terminal 4S on an Iberia flight at 12:35.
Will I have time to make this connection assuming the incoming flight is anywhere near on time?

Yes, if all goes well...any hitch would be trouble...long distance to T 1 and T 4 to be traveled. Check the Barajas web site for information on getting from one to the other...
You should be fine. That gives you a little more than 2 hours. 2 hours is usually what I think is a safe amount of time to make a connection.
