We will be in Madrid for 3 nights in mid-April and looking for a 3-4* hotel that will feel special (celebrating a big birthday!). We are happy to walk a distance/take public transit to museums and to explore but would like to stay in an active neighborhood with restaurants, bars, shops, etc. Thanks in advance for your recommendations!
We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel Madrid in Nov. and really liked it. It is easy to get to the train station, museums and restaurants from the hotel. Very nice hotel and very quiet. We did take a taxi to the fancier restaurants and then we would walk back after dinner. Enjoy your time in Madrid.
Sue I can recommend these 3 hotels for you to stay in for your Madrid trip.
Stayed here a few times and again last week.
Apartosuites Jardines, 16 Monclava-Aravaca. Large rooms with kitchenettes. Great location. Suggest room with a Palace view.
Always good service.
The Petit Palace Posada del Peine is in a great location. When we stayed there in 2019 we had the smallest room possible because of the sky highs prices in town due to a medical conference taking place. We were not impressed by the room, but I’m sure the larger ones are nicer. The hotel had an outstanding breakfast buffet.
